Designed to allow you to get your Miata up in the air for maintenance and still allow you to move the car around the shop or garage. One each end of the horizontal bar there is a frame rail bracket that the cars from rails fit into. This bracket keeps the car from being able to slip off the horizontal bars as well as gets the car up roughly 1 3/4" off of the horizontal bar for exhaust pipe clearance.
The Car Dolly's are vertically and horizontally adjustable with 2 positions each. The shortest horizontal configuration is 33 7/8" wide which is built to fit up tight against the Miata frame rails.
The dolly's fit under the car on the frame rails. For the Miata we use them at the front of the car on the frame rail just behind the rear lower control arm mount. For the rear we mount them at the end of the frame rail just before the opening for the rear differential. See below for pictures of the car dolly's under a Miata with a straight exhaust.
Once on the car dolly's it is possible for 1 person to move the car around on a smooth surface. It is also possible to remove the engine and transmission in one piece while the car is on the dolly's. These are perfect for getting the car in the air without a suspension in it, or to do suspension work. Most other rolling solutions require the vehicle to be sitting on the tires.

The weld together kits utilize a unique patented slot and tab laser cut design process that makes welding simple. All parts fit together perfectly and since they are laser cut there is no fabrication needed to make the parts fit together or get ready to weld. Simply place the parts into their correct spots, index the Male tab into the Female slot and they are ready to weld. Welding time takes about 30 minutes total. The weld together units come with a complete installation guide with schematics and pictures to help make the process easy!
If you get the casters included with your kit, there are 4 swivel locking casters and 4 swivel non-locking casters. All casters are 5" polyeurethane and are capable of 250 lbs per caster.
If you choose to supply your own casters, the caster feet on the base car dolly is laser cut to accept any caster utilizing a standard 2 3/8" x 3 5/8" mounting plate.
