Tow hook designed specifically for the 2006-2015 NC Mazda Miata.   The tow hook featurs a custom machined sphere that threads into the factory tow points on the front and rear of the car.  

 

The sphere design allows for the 1.5" wide kevlar strap to be pulled from multiple angles without fear of cutting,shearing or binding the kevlar strap.

 

The lenght of the tow hook was designed to make it so that the end of the sphere was far enough out that if you were being pulled out by the strap from an angle it would not damage or rip the front bumper off the car.   

 

The tow hook has a place for a cotter pin on the back side of the uniobdy where the bumper attaches.  The intent here is that you do not have to completely tighten the tow hook into the unibody.  If you thread it in and dont completely tighten it, then when you put the cotter pin in place it will allow the tow hook so swivel to whatever direction it wants if you are beign pulled out by the strap.  All of the load is on the threads, not the cotter pin, the cotter pin just keeps the tow hook from unthreading itself under vibration.
