Made from 18 gauge steel these taco gussets are roughly 7” long by 6” tall. They come with a 2.5” dimpled hole in the center and radiused ends to help make installation nice and easy. We use them on all types of cars and have also have a smaller version available. The large version we use for the center of the cage where the Seat Brace Bar meets the Main Hoop Diagonal bar.
While these definitely add additional structural integrity and strength they really should be viewed as cosmetic only. Given their location, for someone to fail the cage to the point that these taco gussets would help would probably be an impact so large that the human probably wouldn’t withstand the impact.
