MiataCage has built custom tooling for dis-assembly and re-assemly of severeal different configurations of rear uprights for your NA/NB Miata. We have invested over $10,000 dollars in a custom press and fixturing to allow for consisntent, safe and accurate installation and assembly of all the components related to rear uprights. Many shops and mechanics use barbaric methods for dis-assemby and re-assembly which has an impact on how long your parts can last as well as how well they perform.
We designed custom tools and use heat, cooling and regulated press forces to assemble your uprights with the least amount of undue force, stress and heat required. We offer several different options for assemble rear uprights.
Option 1 - Used upright with OE stock rear hub flange
Option 2 - Used upright with Mazda Motorsports performance rear hub flange.
Option 3 - All new Mazda OE complete rear upright assembly with OE hub flange.
Option 4 - All new Mazda OE complete rear upright assembly with Mazda Motorsports performance rear hub flange.
Option 1 - You ship us your (address below) complete rear used upright and we will dis assemble, clean, inspect, and rebuild using the follwoing components.

- Your suppllied used wheel studs - We dis-assemble them from your used bub, inspect, clean and re-install.

Questions:
1. Can you re-use my hub flange?
We do not receommend re-using hub flanges since it is hard to accurately inspect them for damage and the inner bearing race typically gets stuck to the hub snout. We have seen rare circumstances where a customer provided us with an upright that only had a few laps and needed to be dis assembled. We designed and bult a tool that allows for removal of the inner bearing race from the hub snout all in the press in a controlled environment without excessive heat, air hammers or brute force to remove it. We don't reccommend it and we don't do it very often, but it can be done in limited cases.
