This is an Aluminum version of the typical steel tow hooks you see on the SM's. I have some customers who struggle to make weight and are looking for weight savings anywhere they can, and have been asked to make some Alumiunum front hooks for botht the NA and NB.
This Aluminum hook is not nearly as durable as the steel version and should only be purchased with the understanding that the user should not be trying to tie the car down in the trailer and that if used to pull the car out of a situation by E-crew that the Aluminum tow hooks will possible need to be replaced.
Will this tow hook allow an e-crew truck to pull it out of a sandtrap? Yes, it is just not nearly as strong as the steel version so the logevity of the products lifespan will not be as good.
